Comparing Charcteristics of Social Media

Social media is weird and wonderful but can be a dark place at times well that is what i have found. The top 2 social media sites that i can think of that give these vibes are Facebook and Instagram.

Facebook started off as somewhere you would log into and see what your far family is doing as it was used to keep in touch just family based but now you log in and see what your neighbour is having for tea or you will see “Holiday Pics #takemeback” from someone you dont even know and have never met.

Instagram started off just sharing pictures with your friends but has evolved in something that is now if you dont have a big following thats embarassing, anything under 500/600 isnt acceptable and if you dont get over 100 likes on each post then you arent that nice.

Both the sites are good but have their flaws as multiple people have been hacked or there profiles have been logged into by someone else #fraped. This just shows a lack of privacy management and security.

if i log into either of them i will see things that create a fake reality to not only  me but the youth generation in general things such as people taking drugs or advertising “Any1 looking fur sniff” but yet these “Adverts” still remain for anyone to see including Facebook and Instagram.
